I am loving plaid lately and I used to just think it was for Fall, but boy was I wrong. My sister gave me this coat and I fell in love. I love how big and baggy the fit is (I’m wearing a medium). I saw this coat and envisioned a mustard shirt with dark denim. And that’s just what I wanted until I realized I do not own one mustard shirt. I drove my booty over to H&M and found this linen shirt for $5! Not to mention while I was there I also got these three necklaces, all under $6. So yea, they are having a huge sale, like every other store right now trying to rid winter merchandise. Man time flies by, and today is thirsty thursday so whose having a drink? I hope I will be!

There is nothing better than a big chunky knit sweater to warm you during this time of year. I am picturing hot chocolate and a fireplace right about now. What a dream. That’s what this sweater brings my mind to, all those cozy places. This sweater in particular I have gotten so many compliments on, (I’ve worn it three times in a week, no shame) and every person who complimented me asked me where I got it. I love a cut out because it adds some sexy to the ensemble without showing too much. You can still have a minor cut out by your neck and still be super warm. The way the sweater wraps around your neck makes up for it. I also feel that you don’t need to accessorize as much due to this detail. And also, the zippers in the sleeve came in handy not only to add cute edge, but to unzip because I was so warm in it. Mason had a fun time zipping and unzipping them, over and over again! He thought it was a game and I was like okay hunny it’s time to stop before it breaks 🤣. So I have added the link to this sweater and to a few more that are cute and cheap. I hope you this helps you find your future choker sweater!

I’ve been away from my blog for a hot minute. There have been many changes going on in my life, amazing ones and I don’t have the time anymore for anything! I still manage to post outfits on my Instagram but to get into major detail on my blog, it’s been on the back burner. Today I am making the time. After all, everyday is Christmas for a blogger, just with deadlines ha! So this camel coat I was so ecstatic to receive and it is on sale for under $30. I mean, REALLY? This is a staple I can keep in my closet forever ever ever!!! And ever. I’ve always wanted a Kevin McCallister “dad” coat (Home Alone anyone?) and now I finally have my hands or arms in one! I didn’t want to distract the eye from the coat so I paired it with all black and I think the look came out amazing. I would say people around me did too because they couldn’t stop staring. When something is good, it’s neck break worthy. The ONLY thing I wish this coat had was a tiny slit up the back but I can always create that with my handy dandy scissors. Slay or sleigh (”tis the season) the day ladies! Please keep in mind I don’t edit my photos so yes that’s a hormonal pimple on my chin. I really don’t care to edit it out. I like to keep things real around here.

I was invited to the SS’16 Aqua Bloomingdale’s fashion show last night and it was so fun and flirty. Every piece was either boho or extremely girly. Many of the looks were paired with sneakers, which as a Mom, I really appreciate. There was lots of fringe, floral, illusion dresses, waterfall blazers and long statement necklaces. These were all shown in different variations of dresses, rompers, skirts and shorts. Bloomingdale’s fashion is always on point and always has been a go-to for me. My ex boyfriend in high school got me obsessed with Bloomingdale’s and from there it’s history! Thanks Kenny! I strongly urge you to check out the website because there are some great ensembles for bridal/baby shower season and spring/summer brunches. As each new piece came out I could envision myself wearing it to a different event. You can also look on my snapchat (yourfavwhitegal) for more looks from the show. However, I did not wear any Aqua but I did throw together my two latest pieces I picked up from a local flea market last week. Machine wash cycle on HOT please! I stopped and stared at this flirty top pictured below and imagined it so many different ways. With a tight black pencil skirt, high waisted leather leggings, dark jeans and white sneakers. I just knew there were tons of ways to mix and match this uber flirty top and then the guy said “$1”. Sold! Duh. I took it to the dry cleaners for some tightening of the floral embellishments and he even did it for me for free! The scalloped bottom adds such a fun vibe than the traditional straight bottom (that sounded weird). I don’t eat scallops but I sure do love the detail on my clothing. As I made my new purchase I then found these jeans and it was a done deal in my head that these two items paired together would be just perfect together. The jeans were also a $1 so it was all in all a GREAT day! Of course I added a couple more holes to make them “my own” and took a razor to them for more fringe. Boom. REALLY oversized boyfriend jeans for a DOLLAR! Let’s not forget that my blog is all about “Expensive Eyes, Budget Buys”. My sunglasses were my mothers from when she was my age and my shoes were sent to me from Sole Society. Now let’s talk my LEGO bag. Andrew bought this for me for my birthday and I was so excited when I opened it because it is so unusual! It is made out of pure Legos and the inside is lined with satin. The Lego in the front to close the bag is real gold and everywhere you go, it is a conversation piece! Mason thinks it’s HIS toy and always tries to take it from me when I wear it, but I’m like no honey, these Legos are for mommy, sorry!
I picked my two favorite pieces from the show and linked and pictured them below. They will be ordered and in my closet ASAP! Hope you all enjoyed my post and outfit! Have an awesome weekend! Ps how annoying is that shadow on my feet in every picture!

An outfit full of basics is so simple and will never go out of style. Denim jeans with a white button up shirt, booties and a Moto jacket. Everything I just stated is a staple in ones wardrobe (at least I’d hope) and when paired together, you get a classic outfit. Building a wardrobe is like building a home, you need a good foundation. A good foundation would consist of jeans that can always be a go-to and simple tees. Tanks, racerback, t-shirts, button-ups, sweater, sweatshirt, coats, capes and jackets. Then of course you would buy aforementioned staples in all different styles, textures, etc. This is how you would build a wardrobe. Everyday I change up my style so you couldn’t even put a specific name to my type of clothing other than chameleon. I have it all from vintage, tomboy, goth, emo, mod, classic, girly (although not too much girly), etc. I love a good garage sale but then you would catch me at Bloomingdale’s. It’s so odd. For today, I was feeling extremely flowy. I wanted to be able to breathe in my clothes and look good while doing it. So of course, I accesorized! I feel that is the icing on the cake when it comes to fashion. It can take any outfit from a zero to a hero. I promise this outfit would not be cute if I didn’t add gold jewelry, an edgy choker and a spike necklace. It draws the eye to your look and makes the glance worthwhile. These jeans I got distressed but made them a little more hole-y. (Not sure if that’s a word other than used in a church, i.e. Holy) They are bootcut, not boyfriend so they weren’t too baggy which would then offset my top. I’ve been trying to steer clear of baggy clothing but for some reason I am always drawn to it. I think it’s because you can literally eat whatever you want in it and eating is my life. Getting off that tangent while I’m ahead. So back to basics, it’s always a good idea and you won’t need to worry about looking ‘basic’, when you do it properly. Accesorize, add a bold lip and strut your stuff, if you want! The world is your oyster, be the hot sauce!
Also, these pictures were taken in two different locations because I couldn’t resist the view!

No better way to spice up an outfit by adding a Moto jacket. From sweats (modern fit), a floral dress, or just jeans and a tee, you can never go wrong adding a Moto jacket. Gives every outfit that extra oomph. This is easily my Momiform, so comfy and SIMPLE. I don’t care what anyone says but that’s what every mom needs and wants. Keeping it short and sweet today because it’s Monday, rainy and as you can see I am very casual which these days goes along with exhausted. Ps I got these jeans at Forever21 for $7.90. Cannot wait to rip them and fill them with holes and distress! You cannot go wrong for that price, now I feel I should go back and get some more. Hope you all had an amazing weekend and great start to the week!
