I am loving plaid lately and I used to just think it was for Fall, but boy was I wrong. My sister gave me this coat and I fell in love. I love how big and baggy the fit is (I’m wearing a medium). I saw this coat and envisioned a mustard shirt with dark denim. And that’s just what I wanted until I realized I do not own one mustard shirt. I drove my booty over to H&M and found this linen shirt for $5! Not to mention while I was there I also got these three necklaces, all under $6. So yea, they are having a huge sale, like every other store right now trying to rid winter merchandise. Man time flies by, and today is thirsty thursday so whose having a drink? I hope I will be!

Kimono Kraze

I’m a sucker for all things flowy, fringe, free, whatever. My friends over at Bohme sure know how to make me happy by sending me this gorgeous ivory kimono. I’m sporting it in the winter with shorts but I cannot wait to rock it in spring with a floral dress or summer over a bathing suit. Speaking of bathing suits, I got the cutest retro top at Target. So don’t knock the cheapo stores because I find the best stuff and people are forever asking me where I scored my great finds. Also, $17 bucks for a top that holds me in perfectly? Swipeee!

In this life, people will love you, people will hate you and none of that will have anything to do with you.

Kiss me, I’m Irish

And by “I’m Irish” I mean the closest I get to being Irish is the box of Lucky Charms in my kitchen cabinet. And I don’t even eat that, Andrew does. Pretty much sums up my St. Patrick’s Day spirit! BUT, I do have the absolute most perfect necklace for today’s holiday from The One I Love NYC. They sent me this gorgeous four leaf clover gold necklace just in time for today. It is handmade, and my favorite, dainty. This can be worn alone but I paired it with my ‘lucky’ necklace because I felt it was very fitting for today.
I am also lucky enough to be wearing this gorgeous embellished tank that was sent to me by Awfully Pretty Shop. I feel it adds the perfect amount of spice, spunk and sass to my outfit.
Speaking of lucky, I am hosting a Giveaway today so be sure to enter! Not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 LUCKY winners will be recieving a $25 gift card to Awfully Pretty Shop. Details on my Instagram . Good luck!

Cape Escape

It’s that time of year, where the tease of a month called “February” is now basically over and our minds are focused on March. March Madness. But not the basketball version. The version where I want to believe it’s warmer out but it’s still cold and wind up going through my entire wardrobe just to find the perfect outfit and BOOM! all I come up with is this lousy run-on sentence that doesn’t even make sense. I know this may sound convoluted but I assure you in the end everything will be copacetic. I despise coats, unless it’s a chic trench and I loathe jackets, unless they are leather or a good diy denim. To me they are restricting and always hinder the best outfits. Hence, the cape. The cape is flowy, and open, occupying just your shoulders while leaving your arms free. Pictured below I buttoned mine, and tried keeping it closed because it is still freezing outside. It’s almost as if they stole the whole idea from the heinous hair salon ensemble they cover you in the second before they start painting your scalp. But instead of heinous, it’s genius. In my opinion. The cape is a perfect way to escape the cold into spring with chilly winds or a cool breeze, etc. Since today I had to sacrifice my inanimate child leather jacket, I decided to throw on my leather leggings. These shall suffice. Happy and healthy weekend to all!

I used to care what people thought about me until one day I tried to pay my bills with their opinions.

Memory Lane

These pictures were taken last week before I chopped my mop, hence my long hair. I’m exhausted just looking at it. Hair for days. These pants give me legs for days, also with the illusion that I have no feet. That is one of my all-time favorite looks. Hope ya’ll enjoy.

Basic Chick

I like to call this outfit a basic chick because it can be worn everyday, anywhere. There is nothing unusual or unique about it, just comfort and cuteness. Perfect for a lunch date, shopping, errands, whatever. It’s a “safe outfit”. You can’t go wrong. Stripes are timeless, jeans are a staple and a fur vest that I wear way too much is a classic. See where I’m going with this? Spice it up with some cute jewelry and viola, get your day started.

Self-confidence is the best outfit. Rock it and own it.

Merry Monday

Merry Monday everyone! I love Mondays because I always feel like it’s the start of something fresh and new opportunities to take advantage of. This week is so exciting. It’s Mason’s first Christmas and my best friend came over this weekend to spoil him and he LOVED opening the presents. I think it is the crinkly noise the wrapping paper makes. I told her she should have just bought him a roll of it! Not only am I ecstatic for the pure joy on Mason’s face Christmas Day, but also because my family is here from Los Angeles & New York. Just all of us being together is all that matters to me. Love the holidays.
Speaking of things I love, I LOVE all things beautiful and all things Urban Lilac. I am such a fan, especially of the two necklaces I am wearing below. I paired them together because I thought they complimented each other greatly. Their jewelry is exceptionally beautiful consisting of stones & turquoise that is all very eye catching. It’s unique and different which is always a good thing. The packaging is just as unique as the jewelry. Presentation is key to me and it created a very impressive first impression. Still some shopping days left! Xx.

I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it’s the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It’s probably the most important thing in a person.
