Beanie, Boyfriend & Blazer

This is the second time I am wearing Boyfriend Jeans and I still don’t know how I feel about them. Some people pull them off so well, and others don’t. I really am not quite sure where I stand. The one’s seen here were from H&M and the pair in this post are from Cotton On. The guy in the store told me for a less slouch look buy 2 sizes smaller, and I did AND I still feel like I am swimming in them. Now that may very well be the point of said boyfriend fit, but I am not feeling the baggy crotch. I honestly believe the H&M pair takes the cake. With that being said, since I really don’t know how I feel about these, I didn’t splurge. I purchased two cheap pairs, although J.Brand and Paige fit me like a dream, just way too expensive for a denim I know I won’t be wearing everyday. In my opinion these jeans would work best on a taller, thin and slim body type because they definitely add weight. I do love the comfort level of these though!
For this outfit, I felt it was kind of subdued so I added a beanie for a pop of color and a leopard clutch for an energizing feel. The edgy leather accents on these sophisticated booties bump up the ladylike factor of this borrowed-from-the-boys look.

At the end of the day, all we have is who we are.

Basic Chick

I like to call this outfit a basic chick because it can be worn everyday, anywhere. There is nothing unusual or unique about it, just comfort and cuteness. Perfect for a lunch date, shopping, errands, whatever. It’s a “safe outfit”. You can’t go wrong. Stripes are timeless, jeans are a staple and a fur vest that I wear way too much is a classic. See where I’m going with this? Spice it up with some cute jewelry and viola, get your day started.

Self-confidence is the best outfit. Rock it and own it.

Leopard Love

Today’s post is brought to you by an extremely famished woman. Lack of food is hindering my brain from functioning. I am going to expedite this so I can go eat and not become emaciated. Okay, well that concludes today’s thoughts. Pretty interesting right? Have a lovely Thursday! Xx.

Do what you feel in your heart to be right, for you’ll be criticized anyway.

Me, My Selfie and I.

Today was supposed to be about 48 degrees and it was significantly colder. 37 degrees to be exact. Mason and I went to the park to play in anticipation that the sun would override the clouds and that the heat Gods would be in our favor. Nope. It was frigid and even that may be an understatement. We still made the best of it. Now we are home snuggled up hoping this tree will eventually un-trim itself. Wishful thinking, I know!
Hope you all had an amazing Monday! I’ve been a terrible blogger lately, but sometimes life happens. Xx.

Always stay true to your selfie.

New Years Eve Achieve

There is absolutely no doubt that 2013 was hands down the BEST year of my life. I was blessed with Mason, who is the biggest joy to my world. He is healthy, the happiest baby, and just perfect. A couple months after Mason, I made the decision that I wouldn’t be returning to work. I then started my blog a little over a month ago and it actually turned into a business. I had no intentions of this, it just worked out that way. I have the best of both worlds, I get to stay with my little boy all day while doing something I love. I want to inspire others, and hopefully I do with my own sense of style. I have been presented with great opportunities and collaborations with companies I adore and it just keeps getting better. I have found my truth and what really makes me driven and motivated. This was and is a great ongoing achievement for me. Everyday is a gift, and I make sure it’s wrapped pretty.
I hope you all had a great year and an even more blessed year to come! Pop that champagne and make that cork ricochet back in the direction of what truly makes you happy in life. Xx.

Attract what you expect, reflect what you desire, become what you respect, mirror what you admire.

Cozy in Camo

It’s a cold one out today but that didn’t stop me from wearing cut-off ‘mom’ shorts. I have my vanilla latte that I live on to keep me warm. And no, it’s not skinny. Or soy. Or pretentious.
When it comes to jewelry, you can add different pieces to make unique and different looks. I can never have enough rings or bracelets and that is no issue thanks to Urban Peach Boutique. This boutique has fun and trendy pieces at affordable prices. As for costume jewelry, I need the prices to be practical. From statement necklaces to spice up any LBD, down to dainty rings and jaw dropping earrings, this website will not disappoint. Also, they are giving 30% off till tomorrow! Happy shopping!! Xx.
